New versions are released periodically to enhance the system and to fix bugs. You are not obligated to do any upgrade except when needed in some specific situations. Get the new license key in advance if you plan to do any major version upgrade. If it's for the Desktop version, just log into your account at this site to generate a new license key. If it's for the Web version, check with this site for discount information and submit a purchase request to Support. You can make payment using the link provided in the helpdesk ticket.

For more upgrade instructions, open your browser and type in “systemupgrade” after the domain URL (e.g. "localhost/systemupgrade" or "www.mysite.com/systemupgrade"). Log in as System Admin and follow the instructions posted there.
