In practice, the desktop version is best used by one staff user on one desktop computer.

You can use all modules (except for HR and Public modules) fully. 

The reason HR and Public modules cannot be used is that they are designed for use by multiple staff users and public users. For example, nobody can access the public modules when the system is hosted on your desktop computer.

Use the Web version if you want multiple staff users to access the system or want to use HR and Public modules.
